Quick check in and great service. New building and rooms with comfortable bed. Particularly nice breakfast for the start of the day with rolls and also great waffle maker. Location near downtown, various attractions in-and-around Winterset, and covered bridges and other places of interest.

The location is convenient, just a short stroll away from The Winterset Stage. The staff are very very helpful, managed the parking on-site.

The staff was helpful and accommodating with our late check-in.

The breakfast options were quite limited and lacked variety.

I recently enjoyed my stay here where the room was very clean and all of the staff were super friendly and accommodating, making the trip even better, and I loved how close it was to the John Wayne Birthplace Museum and Winterset City Park for some nice afternoon walks and exploration.

The hotel also had a small gym and a relaxing TV room, made unwinding easy after a long day. The ice machine outside my room was a bit noisy at night, but it didn't ruin my overall experience 😊

The staff were great. Christine at the front desk was like a breath of fresh air when we finally arrived after the long, chaotic journey. She didn't charge us for our missed night, showed real compassion and kindness that turned our disappointing day around. The room was neat and had everything we needed. It was comforting after a rough trip to have a clean room with a hot shower waiting for us.

It wasn't exactly cheap but you know what I'll say, it was acceptable given the circumstances.
